Marseille soap
Savon de Marseille traditionell

The soap from Marseille is 100% biodegradable and therefore environmentally friendly .

The absence of chemical additives protects the skin. The soap is highly recommended by dermatologists and other medical professionals.

Marseille soap is particularly suitable for allergy sufferers as it is made without preservatives and parabens as well as without dyes, mineral oils and microplastics.

The soap from Marseille is also not tested on animals.

The uses are very diverse! We're happy to give you some examples:

Traditional Marseille soap is ideal for washing laundry : Whether silk, lace, baby clothes, or other delicate items, Marseille soap is suitable for all types of laundry (except breathable sportswear). Compared to chemical laundry products, Marseille soap is extremely affordable because it's economical to use.

For use in the washing machine, use sparingly due to the foaming effect: Dissolve 30 g (equivalent to three heaped tablespoons) in half a liter of very warm water, add another half a liter, and pour 100 ml of this mixture into the washing machine per wash. Depending on water hardness and soiling, we recommend adding 1 tsp to 1 tbsp of baking soda directly into the dishwasher drawer or drum.

But please never wash wool or silk with baking soda ! Pure, good-quality soapy water is ideal for this!

Everyday stains (coffee, chocolate, etc.):

1. Moisten the stain and your Marseille soap with cold water.

2. Rub the stain with the soap.

3. Let the soap work for 2-3 hours.

4. Then wash your laundry in the machine

Butter stains

1. Cover the stain with Marseille soap shavings or grated white Marseille soap.

2. Leave on for fifteen minutes (overnight if the stain is old) to allow the soap to absorb the grease.

3. Rub the stain with water and the soap shavings and then rinse with cold water.

4. Wash clothes in the machine

Fruit stains

1. Remove as much of the fruit as possible by dabbing the stain with a cloth or absorbent paper. This will prevent the stain from spreading.

2. Place the garment in cold water for 15 minutes.

3. Renew the water and add Marseille soap and lemon juice.

4. Gently rub the soap off the stain

5. Rinse the laundry with cold water

6. Then wash in the machine

bloodstains

1. Lightly moisten the stain with cold water.

2. Rub with white Marseille soap

3. Leave for a few minutes (or a few hours if the stain is old).

4. Gently scrub the stain with a toothbrush in circular motions; if necessary, add some new soap to the toothbrush

5. Rinse with cold water

Relieve cramps

Even our grandmothers were convinced: Marseille soap is a proven remedy for cramps. Try it: simply wrap a bar of soap in a washcloth or other textile and place it on the mattress at the end of the bed.

toothpaste

The green version of the soap (with olive oil) can be used as toothpaste. It promotes healthy gums and cleans teeth. A simple, economical, and environmentally friendly way to maintain oral hygiene.

Moth protection

The oils contained in olive oil soap give off a scent that moths dislike. Simply hang a bar of soap in your closet or place small pieces directly on your clothes, for example, in your coat pockets. Replace the soap when it dries out. The dry Marseille soap can still be used for skin cleansing; it's even gentler when it dries out.

How to make your own multi-purpose cleaner with Marseille soap: In an empty spray bottle, add 2 tablespoons of our Marseille soap with olive oil shavings, 1 tablespoon of white vinegar and 100 ml of hot water

Marseille soap is also suitable for cleaning and maintaining brushes and floors or for Stuccolustro .
